Ate here 2/19/15, it was pretty good. We had Gnocchi and pizza and finished with almond cake. Food all around was good. Pizza had a nice crust and gnocchi was firm with a good sauce. Kids had fettuccine Alfredo it was good as well. Staff was also very attentitve and friendly.

Nice atmosphere and service was good. I would recommend. I thought my sauce for chicken scallipinny could have had more flavor an less onions. Dessert was delicious cannoli. Friends had dark chocolate mouse cake and said it was delicious. Our friends dinner Shrimp Msrina had large shrimp.

Had dinner here twice last week. 1st time we had Italian dinner entrees which were quite good as was the salad. Finished w/ top notch cannolis. Then based on the pizzas we had seen going by the 1st nite, we went w/ friends a few nites later to try the pizza. We'd have been better to stick w/ the entrees. Not much kick to the sauce and the crust was average at best. we just bought a home in the area. Will be back for the Italian, but will definitely find another place for pizza.

Stopped for lunch with the family today. We all had pizza. I had a 10" sizzler- onions, garlic and pepperoni. Absolutely delicious. The crust was tasty, fully cooked and not too thick. Just the right amount of thin pepperoni, onions and garlic. Best pizza I've in awhile. There were no complaints at the table. If I have and complaints the pizza was a little oily. But the taste made up for it.

I went in and ordered a salad and some bread while I waited for my to go order. The ranch dressing tasted more like mayonnaise and the bread was dry and stale, luckily they give you oil to dip it in. The service was very good, my waitress was nice and attentive. When my to go order was done, I left and went home. The parm garlic bread was lack luster and the bread was stale. The meals didn't appear to home made, rather reheated and put in a to go container. The cheese raviolis were definitely frozen. For the price that is paid for the three meals, I was expecting a little more. The ambiance is extremely hodge podge and cluttered. There are blue chairs with wheels on them, paper napkins, and statue's was not what I expected from an Italian restaurant. I will not likely be back which is unfortunate because it's right on my way home from work.

We were very happy to find this restaurant in the Punta Gorda area. Too many chain restaurants, not enough "mom and pop" restaurants. This restaurant serves authentic and tasty Italian food, and gives you a lot of bang for the buck. Very pleased.

This Restaurant had its roots in New York for years. This is a Boiler Plate Family Style Italian Restaurant that is typical of many Italian Neighborhoods in the North East. In Punta Gorda it is the exception. And a good one indeed. Want to have a really nice New York pie? Order it thin and crispy. Perfect! Takes you back the to Bronx in a heart beat. The other standard dishes are on the money as well. If you are looking for chichi this ain't the place for you. On the other hand if you are hungry for Neapolitan fare you will be very satisfied and so will your wallet.

We knew we we`re on the right track when they answered the phone with an Italian accent. It was a little hard finding their menu on the web since their website apparently is in flux, but when we did it was even more evident that this place was really Italian. Turns out te family is from Capri and they brought a lot of great dishes with them. We're from Gloucester, MA where we have lots of great Italian places, and this one would hold its own up there.

A poor example of Italian food, and how can you mess up something as easy to prepare? They have no parking. service is good. my rating is to just skip this place.

The parking lot is full every Friday night, so I thought it would be a good bet. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. From the chintzy decor to the cheap paper napkins, the atmosphere left alot to be desired. The prices suggested that the food would make up for it, but again, I was disappointed. I ordered the chicken picatta, which is pretty difficult to mess up, but Trattoria Limoncello makes theirs with (*GASP*) CANNED mushrooms. In a town with a national top-10 rated farmer's market, this is just inexcusable. The dish was oily, to boot, and at $15, I really expected better. Our server was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, which was also unexpected for the price point. If you're looking for good Italian food in Punta Gorda, this is not a safe bet.

This is me and my wife's favorite Italian restaurant. Their calzones are to die for and they are also very cheap. My wife wanted me to say the meatballs are yumyum.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
